Opportunities aim to assist members in refining, diversifying or professionalizing their creative practice.

we offer:

  • access to space, materials, and resources to create new work,

  • artist talks, seminars and art workshops in a variety of skill levels and artistic disciplines, and

  • opportunities to exhibit / present work.

What we offer and when depends on funding received to support our initiatives.

Membership is free. We invite you to get involved if you:

  • are 18 years or older,

  • identify as an aspiring, emerging or experienced *artist/maker,

  • live in Thunder Bay (or surrounding district), and

  • self-identify as having mental health and/or addiction experiences.*

*artists and makers: we acknowledge that many creative folx do not identify as “artists,” but use the term “maker” to describe their creative practice (individuals working in fine craft, for instance).

*mental health and/or addiction experiences: we have found that some members do not identify as having a “condition” or “illness.” In order to keep membership flexible and open to individuals in varying stages in their journeys, we use the term “experiences.”

Please note: To get involved, having a formal diagnosis is not required. You are not obligated to share details about your lived experience with us.
