We are mindful makers

After being diagnosed with a brain tumour and at the same time going through a divorce, I was spiralling down the wrong path.
It was recommended I join some local groups that interested me to help me find myself again and regain some of the purpose I had lost in my life during this time.
Reading the description for mindful makers, their purpose intrigued me. They were offering improv, which I believed at the time would really push me out of my comfort zone. And it did.

Improv was one of the hardest things I pushed myself to do in my life because everything in me was fighting against showing up, but it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I met some of the most entertaining and supportive women. I was gaining my confidence back a lot around this time! Having these regular classes helped give my life some structure, some purpose.
This branched out into the other classes that they were offering and I really started to embrace my creative side. Mindful makers has allowed me to explore and discover a side to me that has been hidden and longing to come out for many years.

I don’t know where I would be today without them, because I believe it enhanced my life in ways that would be impossible to measure :)
Also I realized I keep changing Mindful Makers from “it” to “them.”
It’s not just a “brand” or company. What we are, is a collective of amazing people who all have a love of art!
