Spring 2024 we hosted an interdisciplinary exploration with guidance from multidisciplinary artist, ELEANOR ALBANESE. Collaboratively, we wove art forms together to ignite forest lore; culminating with an interactive performance at Willow Springs Creative Centre. (More info about the project below).

About the project:

Good to know:

Mindful Makers is Fragrance Free. Scented products often contain toxic ingredients which affect people in our community that suffer from Multiple Chemical Sensitivities (MCS) or Environmental Illnesses (EI). Fragrances can have mild to debilitating effects on individuals. We ask that you refrain from using products that are scented including, but not limited to: hand sanitizer, bug spray, dryer sheets and "Fabreeze"-like products --and to be mindful about wearing clothing/outerwear that may have previously been scented. To learn more please visit: https://youtu.be/AZkLdzm_oA8?si=Hs4YEZc6BstN44nR

We currently do not require artists and makers to fill out a membership form to get involved. If you are 18+, live in Tbay/surrounding areas and self-identify as having lived experience with mental health and/or addiction, you're welcome to join us for our opportunities! You are not required to disclose your experience.

For more info about how we work together, check out our Membership Handbook.
